Question: i had a cat scan due to3 week of sever diarrhea found mild sigmoid diverticulosis Dr have putme on 3 courses of ciprofloxacin I have been taking keopectate the in two hour immodiam ad witch the Dr. know I have had to go in to the clinic and have 2 liters of saline solution intervenious ly I have had the diarrhea for 7 weeks I've been on the brat diet do to the cat scan they found atheroscierosis so sent to a heart and vein where they did anarthogram and use a ballon in a vein Ihave3 partially blocked most in stomach and kidney area by the way I had a drink in
february don't drink much i have degenerative disk disease l 3-4and l5-s1 with stenosis and bulging

Severe diarrhea needs proper diagnostic. CT is not the best test to do that. As the reason of chronic diarrhea can be an infection, inflammatory bowels disease or even colon cancer, colonoscopy and stool tests are necessary at this point.
Diverticles inflammation usually does not give chronic diarrhea. So its not the reason of your symptoms.

Heart issue has nothing to do with your current symptoms at all.

I suggest you to consult gastrologist. This can not wait any longer.
