Brief Answer:
post herpetic neuralgia

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

This would post herpetic neuralgia. This is a possible complication of shingles, it is pain that can occur in an area where there was a previous shingles rash.

It is thought to be related to abnormal function of pain receptors (areas that detect pain) or abnormal nerve function.

It can cause severe pain in some persons and in some cases, pain control can be difficult.

Gabapentin, which you are using, is one of the commonly used medication for this and other cause of nerve related pain.
Other medications used are nortriptyline, lyrica, tegretol, amitriptyline.

One medical study found that a combination of gabapentin and nortriptyline was effective.

Topical agents like capsaicin, may also be helpful as well along with your other medications.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
