Brief Answer:
Has it been localised?

Detailed Answer:
Good day.
Noted your question. There are 4 parathyroid glands I'm the neck and it is important to localise which gland is overactive. You may need an ultrasound scan of neck together with a Nuclear scan .
Generally the treatment is by surgery. At your age not all overactive parathyroid glands require surgery. There are some criteria to decide on surgery.May I ask few questions.
1. Have you had any kidney stones.
2. What's your kidney function tests? (Creatinine, urea).
3. How high is the calcium.
4. Have you had a bone density scan?

I Would appreciate a reply.
Regards
Binu
