Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for sending the question.

I agree it is a bit unusual that your foot is jerking. This would not necessarily be directly related to gout. However the inflammation associated with gout could possibly cause some irritability of your nervous system contributing to the jerking that you experienced.

Recommend that you talk to your primary care provider about obtain definitive treatment for the gout.

I am also concerned that it seems that you have had increasing numbers of episodes of gout. Your doctor might consider keeping you to medicate daily to help prevent flareups of gout in the future

I would recommend that you observe your symptoms for the time being after obtaining definitive treatment for your gout. If you experience additional jerking motions or unusual nervous activity then I would recommend that you discuss it with your primary care doctor.

I think the jerking motions will likely resolve with a resolution of your gout

Thank you again for sending your question. Let me know if you're having any further queries..

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
