Yes some contents which are used as decongestants and bronchodilator may cause tachycardia.
The most common amongst is phenylephrine,
others like deriphylline and it's congeners may increase the heart rate .
Lastly caffeine is a component to of some cough medication tablets which should be avoided .
So check the content of the medication and if it doesn't have the above as content you may safely take the same .
