possible functional bowel disorder

Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your health concern and following is/are recommended guidelines:

1. Do let me know whether it is related with Stress, illness, hormones or food? and is it constipation predominant/diarrhea predominant/dysentry predominant or is mixed?

2. Since you have specifically asked for medicine thus I usually manage and treat my patient(s) on the line of "GRAHANI":

. panchamrit parpati: 250 mg
fried hinga [asafoetida]: 125 mg
fried jeera [cumin seeds]: 250 mg.. and take with honey thrice daily.

. soak 5 gm amla in water, when become soft, crush them and add black salt [quantity sufficient], and make lozenges of 125 mg and suck twice daily.

. kutjarishta 20ml
jeerakdyarishta 20ml.. mix with equal amount of water and take twice daily after meals.

. Chitrakadi vati/tablet amoebica: 2 tablets before meals.

. Bilagyl Avleha: 2 tsf with lukewarm water.

Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for reverting back.

1. Since you want sugar free product thus please clarify about the following:
As using bael candy (sugar) thus have to stop this or if your attending physician permits this then instead of this bilagyl avleha is good.(also made of bael and sugar)

2. since taking bi-quinol thus you can skip Tablet Amoebica. (bi quinol and amoebica are almost identical in action and both act on bacterial/

3. Take chitrakadi vati: 2 daily before meals
4. Kutjarishta & Jeerakarishta: 20 ml each with equal amount of water (after meals) twice daily.

further necessary information

Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for reverting back.

1. Since XXXXXXX vati is given in constipation predominant IBS and when there is presence of enterotoxin thus do let me know whether constipation & entrotoxin is there, if yes then along with shankhavati you need a carminative & digestive medicine for which Chitrakadi vati is ideal.

2. As IBS is one example of Psycho somatic disorder ( mano daihik vikaar) thus tranquility or calmness of mind is very important thus take either brahmi churan, tablet mentat or Adhwagandharishta.
