Brief Answer:
4ml should be reasonable for your child

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing on HealthCareMagic. Meftal P contains mefenamic acid which can be given at 4 to 6.5 mg/kg per dose (maximum 25 mg/kg/day). The syrup contains 50 mg/5ml. So, for a 8 kg child the dose would be 40 mg which is equivalent to 4 ml. If you can mention the body weight of the child, I can tell you the exact amount required. Alternatively, you can calculate it from the details I have mentioned.
