Suggest Dosage For Clamp KID Forte And Ibugesic
Question: Rainy season in XXXXXXX ,my kid ( 5 yrs @ 20 KG ) was playing with rain water when coming back from school resulting in wet shocks/boots
Today Morning it was 98 fever , suddenly 104.2 in the afternoon . From our experience , we have given ibugesic medicine .. fever was OK after that .. close to 98 THROUGHOUT the afternoon
We went to doctor in the evening .. he prescribed Clamp kid Forte along with P-250.. he said normal viral fever , we are yet to clamp kid
Can I go ahead with both ibugesic + Clamp kid Forte...tell me also the dosage

It would be better if you can give your child half of that adult antibiotic dosage (clamp kid forte is for kids whose weight is below 10 kg) means better give him half tablet of amoxycillin with clavulanic acid (Augmentin duo 625) considering his weight which is 20 kg here.
(weight is more important than age to determine the dose of the drug)
You can continue with using paracetamol 250 mg tablet twice daily to control his fever.
It would be advisable to undergo routine blood count and ESR if you have not yet started any antibiotic yet.

Thanks .. he is doing OK now .. no fever in last couple of days
Already one bottle of Clamp kid forte solution is finished ..Do I need to start another one ???
Also how can I increase his immunity ... is there any vitamin syrup ?

It is good that your child is okay now but you should give him antibiotic syrup for full course means for at least 5 days.
If there is no fever then no need to give ibugesic or paracetamol but in case it comes again then you can give on as and when required basis.
Give all types of fruits and vegetables in the diet which will boost up the immunity.
However,you can give syrup betonin which contains vitamin B complex and will act as a appetite stimulant.
