Hi and thanks for the query,
Its worth noting that there are numerous agents that one can be allergic to and not only drugs. Viral infections could present also as such. Nature of the cause, whether they contain clear fluid or pus like substance, is very important. Chicken box is a possibility.
I suggest a physician be consulted for appropriate diagnosis. While waiting, appropriate anti septics like Chlorhexidine could be used locally to prevent Bacterial infections, anti histaminic drugs like Primalan or Aureus to Management Itches as you book an appointment with the family care physician or approach the emergency room.
Reddish and itchy bumps of rapid onset and spread deserves a careful evaluation to distinguish from an acute inflammatory reaction (allergy to a given substance, an infection, viral or bacterial or autoimmune such as pemphigus vulgaris).
Appropriate diagnosis determines outcome and orients appropriate managemet.
Thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
