Question: Last month I had a high fever without any other symptoms..a week later I had a high fever blister on my nose ..usually I get fever blisters only when I have a severe infection going on..I had no cough or shortness of breath but I have back pain in the lung area for about 3 weeks ..could I have pneumonia with No fever or cough? It feels like a tightness ..but I do have tight muscles in the neck area.. but I can exercise on the elliptical without any problem..thanks

Brief Answer:
It is unlikely to be a presentation of pneumonia.

Detailed Answer:
Hi....
Welcome to "Ask a Doctor"service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX

I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.

It is not likely to be a pneumonia.
The cardinal features of pneumonia are high grade fever, cough and breathlessness.

For soreness of back muscles, you can take over the counter NSAIDs like Acetaminophen (Tylenol) and Ibuprofen (Advil).

Hope that I have answered your query.

Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards.
