Brief Answer:
It could be a urinary tract infection( UTI)

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
It could be a urinary tract infection.
As of now drink plenty of water and continue paracetamol.
You can go for a urine routine and culture to look for bacteria or other pathogens in the urine.
You can also go for an ultrasound abdomen to rule out possible causes like urinary calculus or stones which can cause similar symptoms.
Wishing all the best.
As of now nothing much to worry and you can wait for few days.
Wishing all the best

Thanks a lot doctor. Now the fever has subsided but I have weakness and loss of apetite. I’m on antibiotic Cefolac o 200 1x2 for 5 days and its my day 3. I have bitterness in taste, loss of apetite, weakness and tiredness. 3 days back when I had my CBC and urine test, my platelet count was 130 , protein was detected in urine(at that time I was suffering from high fever 103 degree) and blood in urine. Now after 3 days, should I retest my complete blood count and urine analysis? And what should I do next?

Brief Answer:
You can repeat the test after two days.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
These are nonspecific symptoms and are quite common after a bout of urinary tract infection.
It will settle once infection subsides. As of now complete the antibiotic course and drink plenty of water.
You can redo the test after two to three days.
Proteinuria. ( excretion of protein in urine) has to be evaluated, if if persist we have to look for the cause.
Wishing all the best.
Thanks

Thanks Doctor, I’ve done a retest for CBC, the platelet count is 130 (as it was 4 days back) , there little decrease in monocyte count i.e. 0.07. I’ve completed the antibiotic dose today but I’m feeling very tired and weak plus I still have loss of apetite. I’ve started taking Becosules z capsules for vitamin supplements. Other tests I’ve had where Serum creatinine has come normal i.e. 0.90. something, but the fasting blood sugar is 161. Since I am diabetic , is it common to have traces of protein and traces of blood in urine? And why is it that I’m feeling so weak?

Brief Answer:
Drink plenty of water.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You can wait couple of weeks.
what about your hemoglobin? it it normal?
Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.
If platelet count is persistently low, you can go for a peripheral blood smear examination to rule out heamtological causes even though it is unlikely.
Traces of protein is quite common in long standing diabetes and hypertension.
