Is Surgery Advisable When Having 100% Blockage On Right Side?
It depends on the site of blockage and medical condition of the patient.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,
I have read the query and understand the concern.
It depends on the site of blockage and medical condition of the patient whether to go with coronary angioplasty or bypass grafting in case coronary artery blockage.
Generally, cardiologist reviews patient's angiogram report earlier to surgery and decide about the site, size and type of blockage and then finally make a decision whether to go with stenting (angioplasty) or bypass.
As you have asked about surgery then i will explain the possibility of bypass here.
Coronary bypass is mostly possible in major arteries like left anterior descending, right coronary artery, left circumflex artery etc.
Bypass surgery is not suitable for smaller arteries blockage (less than 1 to 1.5 mm diameter of artery) like acute marginal artery, posterior descending or diagonal branches and also when the artery is calcified or located inside the heart musculature rather than on the surface.
Still,if you could provide me whole angiogram report then i can guide exactly.
