Is Mixing Of Excess Water To Dissolve Prepopik A Cause For Concern?

default
Posted on Tue, 14 Oct 2014
Question: I'm in the middle of a colonoscopy prep and by mistake used too much water to dissolve the Prepopik entirely in the second, morning dose. I tried to dissolve the powder in too much water, 8 oz instead of 5, and probably didn't stir it enough, it says stir for 2 to 3 minutes for the 5 oz solution...perhaps it only works in the 5 oz of water - i discovered granules that hadn't dissolved half way through drinking it. I stirred these a lot and drank it...I'm afraid it won't go to work and cleanse my colon as it should! What should I do? I'd like to drink more water than the 3 8oz glasses in the instructions. Should I cancel the appointment? I called the nurse at the endoscopy center and she said it would be OK, I would go enough to cleanse the bowel, but I know I didn't get the chemistry right.
