Third generation Cephalosporins is choice for Klebella Pneumonia infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have UTI due to Klebsiella Pneumonia organisms and have been prescribed Livaquin .
I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Was urine culture and sensitivity done so as to help to take appropriate antibiotics.?

Klebsieela Pneumonae infection id very common hospital infection and these organisms are resistant to most commonly used antibiotics .

They are more sensitive to third generation Cephalosporin like Cefotaxime ,Ceprioxone tec and carbazepam .

Please take antibiotics as per culture report .You may continue with Livaquin if organisms are reported to be sensitive to it .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.
