Brief Answer:
safe if you are at rest, do not drive

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Alcohol is Central Nervous System(CNS) depressant. Buspirone also act on CNS. If both taken together and in more dose it can cause more CNS depression and lead to drowsiness, dizziness, impairment in judgement and thinking.
However this happen in 5-10 % people and specifically who are drinking regularly/daily.Occasional drinking does not cause problem.
But still better to avoid driving and other activities which required concentration and sharp judgment when you have taken alcohol to avoid any physical harm to yourself and others.

Considering your age less chances of any severe reaction between alcohol and buspar if you take according to your treating doctor's advice.

Hope I have answered your query. If still any query there, I will be happy to answer (please revert back to me with more detail regarding dose, duration of buspar and pattern ant type of alcohol drinking).

Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
