Brief Answer: Kindly reply few questions... Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. When you are planning for preganancy we usually dont prescribe Norethisterone (gynaset). Kindly reply few questions so that I can guide you further: 1)Since how long are you married? 2)Does your partner has any coital or ejaculatory problems? 3)How irregular your periods are, kindly let me know what is the frequency and duration of flow? What is your longest period and shortest period cycles?? 4)Since when you are taking gynaset and thyroid medications? 5)Have you undergone hormonal investigations like FSH (follicular stimulating hormone), LH (leutinizing hormone), and latest Thyroid profile? If you could attach all your investigations it could help to analyze your query much better. Please ask if you have more questions, and do write back with the answers so that I can guide you further. Awaiting your response. Regards Arif

This tablet(gynaset) was prescribed for regularising periods. I got married 5 months before and my partner does not face any ejaculatory problems. Periods always happens on medication. It lasts for 4-5 days with normal bleeding. Never left periods to happen for a long duration XXXXXXX was 3 months after which took medication. Gynaset is a recent medication about 3 months .Thyroid and pcos medication for more than 5 years.I have attached the latest scan reports and thyroid profile. Need to know is the medication i have mentioned is good to continue.

Brief Answer: You need ovulation induction after evaluation. Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX Thank you for the reply. I have analyzed your answers and reports. After considering all the findings, as you are just married for 5 months I advise you to try for spontaneous normal conception for another 2 cycles. Your irregular periods are due to thyroid abnormality, your current report says your TSH is still high, I feel you need another opinion from an endocrinologist for increasing the Thyroxine dose. Once the thyroid function gets normal your periods will become regular. During irregular periods it is difficult to know the exact ovulation time. Also other lab tests like serum LH(leutinizing hormone), FSH(follicular stimulating hormone) are very important for your evaluation. In your case it is ideal to take Dydrogesterone or natural progesterone for withdrawal bleeding, I dont recommend norethisterone (gynaeset) due to some adverse affection on the growing fetus. Both these drugs are costlier when compared to norethisterone. As you are anxious to conceive it will be best if your husband semen is evaluated , once the semen is normal it will be ideal to try ovulation induction medicine like clomiphene. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. Finally for successful pregnancy, you should lead a stress free life. Have a healthy relationship with your husband. Please ask if you have more questions. If you are satisfied, please make sure that your ACCEPT my answer so that I receive credit. Good luck!!
