Is Irregular Menstrual Cycle A Side Effect Of I-pill?

Question: I had sex with my husband on the 6th day of my cycle...then took 1 ipill within a hour...nd the 2nd ipill on the next day..(as i was afraid of getting pregnant)...now i got my periods again on 14th day of my cycle... I ususlly hv a cycle of 30-32 days...wats happening to me..worried..pls help...are there any chances of getting pregnant?

hello and welcome to HCM. thanks for writing in to us. I understand your problem completely. since in anxiety you took 2 Ipill which has very high dose of progesterone, you had irregular period. Ipill is notorious in causing irregular periods . don't worry it will regularise in 2-3 months. take care in future to use protection. regards Dr Manisha Jain.
