default
Posted on Fri, 22 Jan 2016
Question: I took 2000 mg of Equate Pain Reliever (Tylenol) by mistake - I should have only taken 1000mg. Do I need to be concerned? No alcohol is involved. The other medication he has me taking for this wrenched Back is Tizanidine HCL 4mg x 1 every 8 hours, and 800mg of Ibuprofin every 8 hours. Along with, apparently, 1000mg of Tylenol every 6 hours.

Brief Answer:
TYLENOL HIGH DOSE

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern

Though it's certainly not recommended to take 2 g acetaminophen, it's not a toxic dose. You should skip taking any more acetaminophen for the next 24 hours.

Let me know if you have any query

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
