Brief Answer:
You need evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr. XXXXXXX

Thanks for your question.

After going through your question, I can understand your concern.

If you have done blood sugar test by laboratory testing of venous blood with overnight fast of 10 hours, reading of 130 confirms the diagnosis of diabetes.

If blood sugar is done by using glucometer then it is better to do Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT).

As you are obese there is high risk of diabetes in you irrespective of current reading of 130.

I will advise you to consult diabetologist /endocrinologist for detailed evaluation for your obesity.
It requires detailed clinical Examination and depending upon it different hormonal tests and other basic lab tests including thyroid function test and HbA1c.

Regarding your question for blood sugar control, I will advise you fat and calories restricted weightrreduction diet with regular exercise.

In diet you should take salad, green leafy vegetables, whole fruits (not fruit juices), avoid junk, fast, processed food. Avoid oily foods.
Better to consult dietician.

Once diagnosis of diabetes or insulin resistance is confirmed first drug for you is metformin. Additional medicines may be required depending upon your clinical Examination and hormonal study.

Hope I have answered your question.
I will be happy to answer your follow up questions, if any.
Otherwise close the question and rate the answer.

Brief Answer:
Do further evaluation as mentioned.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr. XXXXXXX

In that case blood sugar reading of 130 has no meaning in prediction of diabetes or prediabetes.
So it is better to do OGTT and consult endocrinologist/ diabetologist for further evaluation of obesity.

Hope this may help you.
So close the question and rate the answer.
