Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thanks for putting up your query at HCM.
I am Dr.Amit Jain (DM, Gastroenterologist), I'll be addressing your queries today.

Please tell me the status of Hep C. Whether you have cirrhosis or not? Have you ever undergone endoscopy and ultrasound examination?
If yes, then what are the reports and reports of other blood tests like liver function tests, complete Haemogram.

Black stool in patient with Cirrhosis may be of concern as it can be occult blood in the GI-tract.

However most of the time black color of stool may be due to diet, iron supplements, or some vitamins.

So also tell whether it is persisting or are you on any specific medicines.

Please answer to my queries so that I can understand your problem in better way and I can reply accordingly

Wish you a good health
