Brief Answer:
Not pneumonia unless other symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

it is possible for there to be back and chest discomfort with pneumonia, but that would not be the predominant symptoms. Without a cough or shortness of breath, and fever, it is very unlikely.

Pneumonia is diagnosed by listening to the lungs with a stethescope, and by chest X-ray.

Without other symptoms it may be from a back muscle strain. Rest and heat may help.

I hope this answers your concern.
