Question: Hi ... I gt periods on 22nd of may and me nd my husband had sex on 29th evening ..and im having thyroid problem .... and after 74hrs of having sex I took Ipill. is it'll be effective . i am already a mother of a kid so v r not expecting any baby

I can understand your concern here.
I-pill is only effective when taken with in 72 hrs. after having unprotected sex.
As in your case, you had it after 72 hrs.(74hrs.), it is not effective and chances of pregnancy are there in your case.
You can use other methods of contraception like ellaOne tablet and copper-T which can prevent pregnancy upto 5 days.
So you should consult your treating doctor for the same and get copper-T insertion or you can take ellaOne tablet as early as possible. ( it may prevent pregnancy upto 5 days).
