Posted on Sat, 16 Jul 2016
Question: I am taking coversyl 2mg per day to manage my blood pressure. I am 63 yrs old. I have also been told I may have a possible blockage somewhere (after an ecg) was done at the lab. I was out in my yard doing some work and my blood pressure is 121 / 83 and my pulse rate is 116. Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
Nothing to be concerned for a fast heart rate

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mrs,

Heart rate of 116 bpm during or after a work in the yard is ok, it will return to normal if you have rest.
About your ECG, if there was some suspicion, then further tests are needed. At first echocardiography should be performed and after that you may need a stress test or angiography, to evaluate arteries that supply blood to heart.

Take care
