Brief Answer:
at 73 days (10 weeks), result should be accurate

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The window period of a test is the time it takes for a test to accurately determine if an infection is present counting from the time of possible exposure, if it is known.

The window period for syphilis is 3 to 6 weeks, though it can potentially take up the 3 months in some cases.

At 73 days (10 weeks), you would have gone past the typical waiting time (3 to 6 weeks), so your result should be accurate.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

So you would be pretty confident that I don't require additional testing?

Brief Answer:
syphilis definite

Detailed Answer:
HI

yes, you should not need any additional testing for syphilis.

There are different tests for HIV, some have a window period of only 2 to 4 weeks, others have a window period of 3 months.
The newer tests have this shorter window eg p24 test.
Even with the newer tests though, some persons are asked to come back by 3 months for repeat testing, in case the body has not mounted a detectable response to the HIV as yet.

The window for chlamydia and gonorrhea is only a few days, less than a week, so their result is accurate

Summary: syphilis , chlamydia and gonorrhea are definite, HIV likely definite but if you wish can repeat at the 3 months mark to make sure

HI

Sorry about the delayed reply.

Yes, this test is accurate at a very early stage, usually the 2 to 4 week window so your result would be considered definite
