Brief Answer:
It sounds like a hernia

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing back,

I hope you are having a good and safe weekend yes i did get your reply and I have analysed it closely.

According to your history of surgeries and the way this swelling is there and how it behaves, i am quite positive in making an opinion that this seems to be a hernia.

And your weight gain theory actually seems to be right, there must have been a weak area in your abdomen when you got weight it let go and a hernia was created there.

I would suggest you not to panic about this but yes you do need to consult a general surgeon get a complete check-up and examination done and then you can discuss about possible treatment options in your case.

Usually hernia is dealt with surgery but surgeon will determine if your swelling is a hernia and if it's a hernia what should be done for it, sometimes contents of hernia and location of hernia make it dangerous and sometimes it just needs meds.

For know know got to reduce weight, avoid over straining of abdomen wear abdominal belt and get to surgeon as soon as possible.(Not an emergency though).

Don't worry everything seems fine and under control.

I Hope this answers your question, if your have more queries feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it. Wish you the best of health.

Regards,

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad.(Licensed Family Physician)
