Brief Answer:
not steroid based...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

1. No thyronorm is not steroid based. The active component of thyronorm is levothyroxine which is effectively the hormone secreted for thyroid gland. Furthermore levothyroxine is essentially made up of an aminoacid and iodine. It is definitely not a steroid.

2. It is not known to cause cataract as it is not a steroid based medication.

Hope this answered your question. Let me know if you need clarifications.
