Brief Answer:
Penicillin group of drugs are recommended for sinus infections

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query

Flonase is used when the sinus infection is not getting better with the routine home remedies and symptomatic medicines.

Antibiotics such as penicillin group of drugs (a combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid) is best suited for sinus infections. This group of drugs do not worsen your hydrops or tinnitus.

Also, you should follow the home remedies such as:
1. Drinking plenty of warm water
2. Doing steam inhalation
3. Avoid coffee, chilled food and beverages & smoking

You can try taking mucolytics to thin the sinus secretions. Saline nasal spray is highly recommended for the easy clearance of the sinus secretions and keeping the nasal mucosa moist.

Hope this answers you query. I will be available for the follow up queries.
