Question: I was taking 75 mcg Levothyroxine and had 0.56 TSH level. My feet were swelling so my doctor changed it to 100 mcg. It’s been a month and my level is 0.08. My arms and legs hurt and my feet are more swollen. I’m tired and feel bad. I think she make a mistake. Should I go back to .75 mcg?

Brief Answer:
About levothyroxine dose;

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I have gone through your concern carefully.

Yes, you should go back go 75mcg, however, the swelling doesn't seem to be caused by hypothyroidism.

You need to check urine for the presence of albumin and the cardiac function.

Hope the information will help.

Best wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta
