Question: I think I might have fibromyalgia. Been suffering from moderate pain all over for the last few months, tension headaches, diarrhea, permanent fatigue, loss of appetite, missing periods, brain fog, heightened depression and anxiety. There is a history of arthritis in my family, I have a cousin who is suspected of having this and my uncle has just tested positive for the HLAB27 gene. However, I'm in China and it's difficult to see a doctor so before I go, I want to know if I might be correct or wrong.

Brief Answer:
Detailed evaluation is required.

Detailed Answer:

Hello.
Thanks for the query.
Fibromyalgia is a possibility. Major depressive disorder is a possible differential diagnosis and it can also present with similar symptoms.
Fibromyalgia has got a psychological element and associated depression can aggravate the symptoms.
Avoid unwanted stress and anxiety. Relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation can help a bit.
HLA-B27 might have association with arthritis but not with your other symptoms.
Opiod analgesics like tramadol can be tried for pain.
As you have multiple symptoms, detailed evaluation is needed. Hypothyroidism also be ruled out because many of your symptoms are consistent with hypothyroidism.
Consult a physician and he will direct you accordingly.
Wishing all the best
