Brief Answer:
A thorough health check-up is needed at first...

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service...
I've gone through your query...

Well, at this outset, before proceeding for a solution, it's important to find out the exact cause/diagnosis...

A lot of times, loss of hair is due to a genetic cause (if it runs in your family, then most likely it can be the cause)...However, there are a number of other causes as well...

Excessive hardness in daily bathing water is one of the most frequent causes. Checking and changing the water is recommended in that scenario.

Dandruff itself can be the cause of frequent hair fall. If that's the case, then a Ketoconazole and Salicylic acid-based shampoo (e.g Phytoral-SP shampoo) can be used every alternate day. Keep the hair dry, avoid any form of moisture/dampness over the scalp.

If those aren't the case, then it's recommended to undergo a full-body check-up at first under the supervision of a specialist (esp. Dermatologist). Along with this, the doctor may also advise thorough sets of investigations including CBC, ESR, LFT, KFT, Blood sugar levels, Vit D3 levels, Thyroid function test to look into it in detail...

Management can be done based on the findings. So, just visit the Dermatologist at first for the clinical check-up followed by the thorough sets of investigations as already explained.

Kind Regards

I have been to the dermatologist, they said it is like androgenetic alopecia and suggested More F solution for atleast 6 months. Now due to corona scenario he is not allowing for visits.

Further i wanted to know if anything else can be done. Or any change in medication

Brief Answer:
Further clinical evaluation necessary...

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,

Well, if it's confirmed by the Dermatologist as Androgenic alopecia already, you should definitely continue the medications as already advised by him and reschedule the clinical appointment at a later date for further evaluation...

You should also know that Androgenic alopecia is, unfortunately, not fully cured by medications and the only effective managements are either hair transplantations and/or cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries...

If still in doubt, a second opinion from another dermatologist can certainly be taken...

Take Care
Kind Regards
