Brief Answer:
Get investigations, needful treatment & life style changes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi kkp.iocl,
Thanks for asking. I have read your query &understand your concern.

Fatty liver is a condition when excess fat is deposited in liver... this may lead to inflammation &scarring of liver tissue..so when recognised one must try to find out the cause &try to avoid inflammation /cirrhosis of liver in future.
* Fatty liver can be flowing alcohol indulgence or due to high cholesterol diet , obesity or diabetes.
With this background information let us discuss the things you should do at this stage.
-Get investigated for liver function tests, lipid profile , glucose tolerance test ..Get investigations done to confirm normality of gall bladder)
- This would form a base line condition of your health..being helpful in immediate management & judge the results incurred over the time.
*Management consists of -
-Stop alcohol onsumption.
-Reduction of weight by diet restrictions (vegetables, salads, fruits &whole grains)along with regular exercises
-Have a good control of diabetes ..(if any.) with diabetologist's advise.
- Consult and be in touch with Hepatologist at regular intervals for specific advise.
-Vaccination for Hepatitis B&C as per expert advise.
*Partially contracted gall bladder in USG can suggest-
-An emptied gall bladder...(gets contracted while getting empty)
-Inflammed &fibrosed gall bladder..(,due to bile stones) can be seen partially contracted
I hope that answers your query.Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
You need cholesterol control.

Detailed Answer:
Hi kkp.iocl,
Thank you for the additional information.I was impressed by your positive &sincere attitude towards your health...so before you could read my answer..you already had got yourself investibated for the relevant tests in your current concern .I have studied all the reports sent...-& would try to mention the significance of the reports.
*You have USG scan of your abdomen... which shows normalcy of all organs except for fatty infiltration 2 in liver& partially contracted gall bladder(which I had already explained in previous answer.) The visible lumen of gall bladder is empty &bile ducts are patent &there is no obstruction it...so no gall stones formation.
You do not have symptoms like nausea, vomitting, acute pain in right side of abdomen below ribs...so no suggestion of gall bladder affection at present. On appearance of such symptoms / if gastroenterologist suggests... you may need cholecintigraphy to assess gallbladder function.
*Thyroid function tests are within normal limits. This confirms efficacy of Eltroxyn therapy.
*Your fasting &postmeal blood sugars are in normal limits. But it is fatty infiltration -2, (that means fatty infiltration of liver with tupe 2 diabetes.) So you need to assess HbA1c test of blood(which shows overall glucose control in last 3 months...A uniform control is necessary to prevent fatty infiltration in liver)
.Normal creatinine, urea, blood proteins...indicate absence of liver or kidney problem at present.
*Liver function test reports are normal.
**Only thing to be concerned for is your lipid profile... having rise in total cholesterol, rise in Ldl cholesterol(bad cholesterol... getting deposited in blood vessels ),Ratio of total cholesterol with LDL cholesterol shows average .risk .
Good thing is your Triglycerides &Hdl cholesterol(good cholesterol) are in normal limits .
***So though almost all of the reports are good...you need to bring your LDL cholesterol levels down & raise Hdl cholesterol a bit ...to avoid further progress of liver condition & . blood vessel problems Fatty liver is reversible by-
-healthy diet with proper balance of Hdl &LDL cholesterols(dietitians advise),
-Regular exercises, cardiac exercises under expert guidance.
- A good &uniform blood sugar control
- Stopping alcohol completely,
-Hepatitis C&B vaccination
I hope that helps.Any follow up query is welcome.
thanks
