Brief Answer:
You need medical supervision.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for posting your query.

If you do not wish to continue this pregnancy, you should see a specialist for further help. A clinical confirmation, a trans-vaginal sonogram to locate the gestation sac and know the age of the pregnancy, routine blood counts and urinalysis are to be done.

Medical abortion can be induced up to 9 weeks of gestation. This can be done through several drugs available. This should be done under medical supervision. The whole process takes 2-3 days. Follow up is done after two weeks and this includes a clinical exam and a repeat sonogram to ensure completion of the process.

There is a risk of an incomplete abortion leading to heavy bleeding, infection and fertility issues in future if self-medication is tried as dosage may be insufficient. Also, when self-medication is tried, there is a possibility of trying to abort an undetected ectopic pregnancy which has grave consequences.

So, I would ask you to see a specialist and get the process done. There are no known home remedies in allopathic medicine to induce an abortion.

Hope your query has been answered. Please feel free to contact for further clarification. I will be happy to help.

Shanti.V.

Brief Answer:
withdrawal bleeding cannot be induced.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

With an established pregnancy, progesterone in the said dose fails to induce withdrawal bleeding. High doses of progesterone can sometimes induce the abortion.

Hope this helps.

Brief Answer:
Baby does not get affected.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing again.

Most often, the pregnancy remains unaffected and a normal delivery is possible if all other factors are favorable. The pain may however wane as the ligaments relax due to pregnancy hormones or increase due to the increased abdominal weight.

The baby does not contract scoliosis as evidenced by studies. You can get further information from your health care provider.

You can safely go ahead with your pregnancy if you are deemed to be in a fit condition by your consultant. This includes considering the present extent of deformity, the consequences of a pregnancy on the abnormality in the spine, whether this deformity is going to adversely effect the pregnancy etc. An opinion with the specialists in concurrence is needed on this matter.

Hope you find this information useful. Please contact if you need any more help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
