Question: Dear doctor,

I am allergice to mosquitoes bites or any insect bites. Due to that I have got many dark brown and red spots on my arms and legs. I was using medasalic ointment to remove those spots but I don't see any changes in that.
I request you to kindly advice me some medicine or any treatment so that I can get rid of those spots.

Hi

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.
I would like to have a look at the exact skin condition so assess the type of scars you have so that I can advise regarding their management.
Please click some close up pictures of the affected area and upload them here on this page .
Also please tell what all are you already applying over them?Any medicines or creams or oil ?
Any itching?

Brief Answer:
Medicines for the pigmented scars

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

I have seen the attached pictures .
You have pigmented marks over arms and legs along with few active lesions as well.
You have been applying a combination of clobetasol with salicylic acid over the lesions .
I would rather suggest you to switch over to a steroid antibiotic combination cream for the active raised and itchy lesions while you can apply a triple combination lightening agent at night over the pigmented areas .
So in most patients ,application of fluticasone mupirocin combination cream like fucibet or flutibact cream over the active lesions in the morning along with application of a lightening agent like skinlite cream over the dark areas at night helps.
Do not apply mustard oil over the affected areas.

Brief Answer:
Take alternative agent

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

For a quick response ,skinlite cream is quite effective since it helps in reducing pigmentation at a faster rate .
If you are not willing to use it,you can instead apply kojic acid cream over the pigmented areas twice daily .
