Brief Answer:
you can pass if you stop now and hair test would not done

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

In blood, urine or saliva test nicotine and cotinine can be detected up to 4 days. If you can stop the smoking for more than 5 days before testing you can pass the test. However if hair is used for testing it is not possible to pass as it may take at least 14 weeks of abstinence.

Note: You are taking one pack per day since 20 years and that is quite high. If you stop it cold turkey, there will be withdrawal symptoms. Initially reduce half pack for 2 days and then 1/4th pack for 2 days and then stop. The best way is consult doctor for deaddiction if your withdrawal bothers you much.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.
Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
