Brief Answer: Good nutrition and proper stress control... Detailed Answer: Hi, Hair fall is considered significant if more than 100 hair strands shed off on a single day. Anything less than that doesn't need serious attention. That being said, I recommend the following for a healthy hair. 1. Eat healthy - a balanced food consisting of enough proteins, vitamins and minerals. Make sure your diet contains proteins such as lentils, soya products, milk, egg, non vegetarian diet and so on. Add plenty of fruits and vegetables especially those grown under the soil (root vegetables) for vitamins and minerals. 2. Make sure you sleep well. Practice physical exercise, yoga and meditation. These measures help you handle stress well. 3. Avoid overnight hair oiliing. Instead oil your hair an hour before bath. 4. Use good antidandruff shampoo to keep dandruff problems away. Nizoral is one example of good antidandruff shampoo. 5. Avoiding rubbing/combing wet hair. Wet hair is fragile and can easily break off. 6. You can also include supplements such as Tab. Biotin forte one tablet a day for couple of months. Despite these measures if you continue to have hair issues, you should consult a doctor who can order some tests - anemia, hypothyroid and other vitamin assay - before suggesting other remedies. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications. Regards
