Brief Answer:
You are in safe zone

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for your query.

I have read you query and I understand your concerns about contraception.

Following is my reply:

1) Since your period as on 18th July, you are in safe zone till 27th July. Meaning you will not need emergency contraception even if you had sex in these days.

2) I dont see any chances of getting pregnant till today. Here after try using a condom till next month.

3) Next month onwards please use regular oral contraceptive pills like XXXXXXX Ovral etc..

I hope I answered you query and addressed your concerns.

Let me know if you wish to ask any further questions. I will be glad to help you.

Regards,
Dr. Soumya

Brief Answer:
Copper T is better option

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Emergency contraceptive pills are safe but needs to be taken occasionally only. This tablet needs to be taken within 72 hours after having sexual intercourse.

If you want regular contraception for long term get copper T inserted. This is cheap, easily available and long lasting.

Emergency pills need to be taken before 72 hours

Hi,

ipill or unwanted 72 are the commonly used brands. They have to be taken before 72 hours after having sexual intercourse and not after.
