Question: I missed taking Cymbalta for four days after being on it for 10 years. I've started taking it again and this is the third day and the withdrawal symptoms of severe headache and nausea are still with me. How long will they continue and what can I do to minimize the symptoms?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for your query.
You will feel the symptoms till the blood level of Cymbalta reaches the original level before you stopped the medication. This may take upto 5 days and so you should be better in another couple of days. If you are not asthmatic , you can minimise the throbbing headache by taking Inderal 10 mg twice a day. Do not take any painkiller like ibuprofen which irritates your stomach and produces abdominal pain and nausea. Take only paracetamol for pain relief.
