Brief Answer:
Time frame will depend on skin test and biopsy reports.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Hives / urticaria has many types. Skin biopsy taken will confirm what type is it and only then we can tell for sure how long will it take and why does it repeatedly show up when usually erupted hives subside in a day or two with topical corticosteroids and antihistamines. Also there is a long lis tof factors like food, allergens, environmental factors, genetics etc that define hives stay and whether it will get chronic urticaria or not.

Nutshell, answer to how long will it stay is some thing not possible with out thorough work up. So lets wait for the biopsy reports and hope for the best the type of hive that show up is short term and self resolving.

Meanwhile add some benadryl or any other anti histamine, wear loose cotton clothes, apply cool compresses over the hives area and avodi triggers . Stay in touch with yoru dermatologist.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
