Question: I the oral azithromycin 4G single dose treatment failed, how long would it take for symptoms to reoccur?

Your question is not a complete one.
Azithromycin is an antibiotic and used in many conditions including STDs.

You had not mentioned what for you had Tablet Azithromycin. Single statum dose is indicated for Genital discharge syndrome (Gonorrhea and non-gonococcal infections of urethra).
For the above condition usually it is recommended Tablet Azithromycin in the dose of 2 gms Statum. But you had 4 gms as a single dose.

If there is a failure with an antibiotic, the following possibilities are there.
1. Resistance to Azithromycin. Alternate choice has to look into.
2. Diagnosis has to be re-established.
3. Re-infection is possible if the source not been treated (Partner management).
4. Chlamydia may sometimes need a long course.
