Brief Answer:
Less chances of HIV please but attend clinic.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Going by the incident mentioned by you, the risk of HIV transmission through oral sex is very low about 4 per 10000. Therefore it is most likely that you do not have HIV. Also you have written that there was no penetration. There is a faint possibility of mixing of fluids and if you do not have any cuts where the vaginal fluids might have come in to contact, there is no need to worry for HIV transmission.

If it was within 3 days then I would have advised you to take HIV post exposure prophylaxis which is a 28 day course of medications to protect you from any little chance of having HIV. Since 72 hours are over, you may try and get a HIV DNA test done after about two weeks. This can be followed by testing with ELISA after 3 months and 6 months.

The sore throat might be due to a bacterial infection or flu. There is a small risk of other sexually transmitted diseases like genital warts or genital and oral herpes.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
