How Can Sperm Motility Be Improved?

default
Posted on Tue, 7 Oct 2014
Question: Hello Doctor,

I'm married and 32 year old. Recently done semen analysis and found that, my sperm count: 273 Million and motility is 10% and non motile is 20%. Hence, test result showing Asthenospermia. Again my doc adviced to do LH and doppler test. Tests are showing normal.

Please advice me to improve sperm motility. Also, my wife is having low follicle count and size. Her recent follicle size was 11mm. Please suggest us, still we have a chance of getting a baby?

Brief Answer:
Low ovarian reserve.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply

1. Asthenospermia means slow sperms.

2. Though motility is only 10 percent this may not be reason for infertility.

3. Low ovarian reserve of eggs might be reason possible for infertility.

4. Hence i suggest you get FSH and AMH values of your wife to get ovarian reserve tested.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Regards
