How Can Lower Left Back Pain Be Treated?

default
Posted on Mon, 31 Jul 2017
Question: I have been sitting in a chair all day and felt fine until about 90 minutes ago when I suddenly developed severe pain in my lower back in the kidney area. I have taken 20mg of Oramorph and 2 co-codamol.

This has had no effect and I have collapsed once due to the pain when trying to walk. This is probably the worst pain in my life. Please advise. I was in Hospital the other day and they found a small (3mm) kidney stone and I have a testicular infection for which I am taking ciprofloxacillin.

Brief Answer:
Possibility of spinal nerve roots compression also has to be ruled out .

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for the details .

* There should be another possibility of underlying spinal nerve roots compression
associated with tiny renal calculus .
reasons for the same are

- Pain is in middle to lower back .
- Sharp all the time .
- Movement specially painful .
- No vomiting or urinary problems .

* Wait for the effects of medicines taken to show the results .
* I recommend to get once x-ray lumbar sacral spine .

When was the last ultrasound done , can you upload its copy .

Wishing you fine recovery .
Regards dear take care .
