Thrombosed clots never reabsorb?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel (7 hours later)
Brief Answer:
your hemorrhoid doesn't seem thrombosed clot at present.

Detailed Answer:
Respected XXXX, Hi, welcome,

* Hemorrhoid is soft tissue bulging with swollen veins in the lower part of anus
and rectum, when the walls of these vessels are stretched, they become
irritated.

* What you are telling does not seem to be thrombosed clot at present (which
occurs at the site of any injury or bleeding ) & it gets reabsorbed in circulation when venous.

* There is one entity called thrombosed hemorrhoids which is 3rd-degree type
severe discomfort, difficulty in sitting ( which you are not having at present).

* Salient guidelines for you:
- As any hemorrhoid is never going to shrink at all for rest of life, certain
precautions are to be taken for keeping it under control so far as possible :
- always try to have soft stools by managing to take plenty of liquids, green
leafy vegetables, fiber , organic fruits , cereals , pulses, legumes , curd etc.
- avoid all oily / spicy / non vegetarian stuffs / beverages / cheese / excess
ghee / junk foods till possible .
- avoid smoking/alcohol / any abuse substances if at all do.
- avoid stress/anxiety

- avoid straining when using toilet & go when needed don't wait.
- keep body weight under control.
- regular Sitz bath ( sitting in a tub filled with lukewarm water 10-10 minutes
morning & evening & especially after passing stools ) help a lot.

- Local application of Xylocaine (5%) jelly whatever brand is available at
chemist keep the part smooth.
- avoid tight undergarments/jeans.
- avoid any anal sexual activities ( if at all doing ).
- most towelettes better ( dry toilet paper may aggravate problem )
- analgesics if pain & discomfort.
- avoid heavy weight lifting.
- avoid prolonged driving / sitting on hard surfaces.
- avoid exposure to excess heat.
- keep ambulatory, regular walking, light exercises at home with YOGA help
- consult Surgeon immediately if a noticeable increase in the size of lump/bleeding
lump not going inside / severe pain / discomfort / itching / discharge of any
type / severe constipation or diarrhea .

Hope this clarifies your further doubts.
