Brief Answer:
Start weaning instead

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir, thanks for trusting health care magic.
There is no need to refrigerate milk as baby is already 6 month old so now can start weaning with simple foods like
- mashed banana or potato in curd
- formula milk powder
- porridge after blending it in mixer with milk
- fruit juices
- breastfeeding only when possible otherwise complete weaning can be done too.
In case you need any other advice, I will be glad to answer.

Thanks for the reply Dr.

2 points I have.
1. Generally mothers milk is said to be good even after 6 months along with other mashed items.Must be better than formula milk for sure.Would like to know the ratio of milk and food itema
2.If milk is not pumped, breasts can have pain...so should that be just pumped up and thrown if unusrd

Brief Answer:
Discard extra milk

Detailed Answer:
Yes dear you are right that mother's milk is better than formula milk but is not enough for the child above 6 months of age and thus has to be supplemented by other nutritional supplements even if the mother is free and nearby.
And for mothers who are away, formula milk is the best hygienic alternative.
She can definitely have engorged breasts and thus can extract the milk and discard it.
Take care

Brief Answer:
40% breast milk

Detailed Answer:
I understand her problem but she should discard milk at least twice in those 11 hours of duty so as to maintain the breastfeed otherwise there will be decreased milk output over 2-3 weeks and can even stop secreting milk.
So ideal percentage of breast milk to supplements is 40% supplements and 60% breast milk for first two months of weaning i.e. 4th month to 6th month of life of baby and then 60% supplements and 40% breast milk from 6th month onwards as in your case now.
Continue this 40% breast milk till 9 months of age and after that slowly stop breast milk till one year of age.
Take care
