How Can I Conceive Soon?

Question: Hello Doctor,

i have been getting irregular periods since XXXXXXX We are planning for a baby currently and need your help. I used to have a 30 / 31 days cycle. I would like to tell you my whole cycle since XXXXXXX 2013 -
XXXXXXX - 15th - 19th
July - 26th - 30th
Aug - I don't remember
Sept - 6th - 10th
Oct - 10th - 14th
Nov - 3rd - 6th
Dec - 9th - 15th (i consumed an iPill on 18th so again started on 29th - 31st Dec) XXXXXXX - no periods
Feb - 21st - 26th
March - no periods
April - 21st - 25th (going on now)

I want to conceive asap, please let me know on what days will i be most fertile and when should we have an intercourse so that i conceive for sure.

Thanks for your query.

14th to 18th day of your cycle seem to be fertile. You can attempt intercourse during these days to get fruitful results.

I would also ask you to get an Ultrasound scan done to rule PCOD (Polycystic ovarian disease) in you. With irregular cycles like you have, PCOD is a high probability.

If diagnosed with PCOD then you can go for any ovulation induction or any other assisted reproductive techniques.

I would like to share some more information with you. We had a rigorous intercourse on Feb 16, 17 and 18. The delay in my menses for the month of April i thought was may be i have conceived (according to my cycle March 27th was my expected date of menses which i dint get). In the last week my husband was hospitalized for a couple of days cos of illness due to which i had to run here and there and had a very stressful week, drove 2 wheeler, had a lot of physical activity.

Like i told you April 21st is my 1st day, there is no flow at all today i.e on April 22. Is there is chance of me having a miscarriage due to which i had fluids which passed yesterday cos all the stress and haphazard running that happened last week. Because we were quiet sure that i would conceive it this time.

Get the urine pregnancy test done. This will be positive for a week or more even after the abortion. If negative it does mean that you had your period missed due to hormonal imbalance which could be due to stress again.

Okay Doctor i will get the urine pregnancy test done at home. But i dint understand, if it is aborted how will the test be positive? and if the test results are positive, i hope that one day of bleeding will not be of any harm.

You mean even after bleeding for 1 day chances are that i may be pregnant? i will do it tomorrow and let you know the result. Thank you once again.

HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is a hormone which is tested to confirm the pregnancy.

This hormone stays in blood for few days even after abortion. The positive test do not mean you still are pregnant.

I did a urine test at home using Prega news, got a negative result. Does my fertile days remain the same like you told me? do i need to visit a gynac? hope things are not complicated.

Yes, since your cycle length is around 30 days then your fertile days remain the same.

You can test ovulation using a Ovisure Kit.

Visit to gynecologist is always good as she can physically examine you.

Thank you for your opinion. I had a check done by a gynac. She did a sono and an Ultrasound too. Has asked me to do a blood check up to check on my Hemoglobin and sugar level, also she has asked me to take RB Tone and Folvite.

Thank you for all your help Doctor. I just had a doubt which i forgot to ask my Gyanec is that, while i am having these medicines and simultaneously will be trying to conceive, i hope these medicines do not have any side effects or any reverse effects on my plans to conceive.
