Hi, This Is A Follow Up To Dr.vaishalee Punj. As
Seen reports
Detailed Answer:
Hi again and thanks for posting a direct query for me.
Sorry for delay in response as I was busy with my other clinical responsibilities
I have seen the reports and the following are deranged values and the suggestions alongwith
Mildly deranged lipid profile: It is mild and is a risk factor for cardiovascular problems. You will need to adopt a healthy lifestyle including low fat foods and regular exercise. Avoid sweets, icecream, cheese, and other high fat foods.
High serum copper: this could be due to consuming food in a copper utensil or could be due to some liver problem. Liver function test needs to be done here. Is liver function test normal?
High serum zinc can happen from supplements and high berylium levels can happen due to exposure from workplace or atmosphere. We need to find the problem and resolve it. Currently it does not require chelating agents.
High homocysteine: means that high risk of cardiovascular disease in future.
Low vitamin D: take nature bounty vitamin D3 tablets 1000 IU daily for 3 months.
Low vitamin B12: take nature bounty vitamin B12 tablets 1200 mcg daily for atleast 3 months and for life if possible. Nature bounty products are mostly available online.
Normal cystatin - c: no risk of kidney problem
High lymphocytes: suggestive of some infection. Do you have any symptoms of infection?
Deranged blood film parameters suggestive megaloblastic anemia: It is due to b12 vitain deficiency. Serum folic acid levels also need to be measured. If folic acid also found low then its supplement also needed e.g fefol tablet.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Some corelation with the report and your symptoms
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Your symptoms are suggestive of hypoglycemia. As I mentioned earlier, serum insulin levels should be measured during a hypoglycemia episode and scanning of abdomen should also be done. Regarding the reports that you have uploaded, I have noted down their corelation with hypoglycemia as below:
Hypoglycemia can cause dyslipidemia.
Copper possesses insulin like activity. Alcohol and other drugs can cause high copper levels. XXXXXXX disease is associated with hypoglycemia. Liver function test should be done here. May cause or exacerbate seizures and other neurologic symptoms. Install an RO sytem and drink that water only with low TDS. Avoid use of any copper utensil for cooking. Urine copper levels of more than 1600 mcg in 24 hrs are also suggestive of XXXXXXX disease rather than other types of liver problems.
Zinc is constituent of crystalline insulin. Zinc supplementation can be helpful in hypoglycemia. But you already have high levels of zinc. So you may avoid zinc supplementation.
Homocysteine inversely correlated with hypoglycemia. This means that high blood sugar levels are associated with high homocysteine and risk of cardiovascular problems is increased. Not much relevant in your case.
Low vitamin D may cause hypoglycemic episodes. So vitamin D supplementation will be helpful in your case.
Low vitamin B12 may cause an impaired awareness of hypoglycemia, so vitamin B12 supplement needed for you.
Hope this clears your doubts. Let me know if I can assist you further.
