Hi Dr, Please Advise On Attached Report.... Back Pain .
Disc prolapse at the level of L5-S1.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have seen the attached X-ray report.
This X-ray shows disc prolapse and reduced disc space at the level of L5-S1. This can cause a low back pain. This happens due to age related degenerative changes in the spine and due to poor posture. Avoid bending forwards and rest on a firm bed. Taking oral muscle relaxants and pain killers will help in reducing the pain. You can get these prescribed from your orthopedician.
For long term relief you will need regular physiotherapy to retard these degenerative changes. Taking methylcobalamin supplements can also help in case your vitamin B12 levels are low.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
Dr. Praveen Tayal.
