Question: Hello sir ,
I am a 30 year old male , having multiple lymph node swelling on abdomen , all over the abdomen many are there and I can feel them , previously also they were there but never caused pain , now the number is increasing and there is slight pain , I M worrying it could be lymphoma , I am not having palpablr nodes in neck , armpit region . no fever as of now .
Does lymphoma has treatment , what is the survival chances of lymphoma .
How to rule out lymphoma are abdominal lymph nodes palpable at all?? Kindly help .

How many such sites are there ?
How big is the biggest lymph node ?
Have you got any investigation to rule out lymphoma till now ?

It is all over the stomach and few in chest , I don't know if it's lymph node or lipoma , are abdominal lymph nodes palpable?? If they are really lymph node the largest one would be around 3 cm,
In armpits no lymph nodes and groin no lymph node palpable.
I went for CBP and HIV , HsbAg to rule out them , CBC normal and others negative , so I want to rule out lymphoma also , kindly Help?
But are abdominal nodes palpable ??
I went for abdominal scan as a part of health check up they did not mention anything about this .
The reports were normal.
So I want to rule out lymphoma
And does lymphoma has treatment??
What are the survival rates

Hi,

Thanks for the information.

Based on the description you provided, I do not think the swelling to be lymphnodes.

Abdominal lymphnodes can only be made by a CT scan of the abdomen. The lymphnodes will neither be seen nor palpable externally.

I suspect them to be either lipomas or neurofibromas both of which are not serious.

Only to know what exactly they are and what complications can be expected, I suggest you to go for FNAC (Fine-needle aspiration cytology) test.

I do not consider Lymphoma being a possibility here.

Hello doctor ,
I want to add some more here , I had a unprotected bsexual encounter oral on 4 th of may and I had a HIV RNA PCR done on the 14 th of September the results were not detectable and non reactive and negative , lately I am getting cough and night sweat around neck I am attaching report here are my abdominal lymphodes my cough and my sweating around neck only at night related to it ? Am I missing out any important diagnosis clue , I have run a CBC all normal , cheat X ray normal I feel something is going wrong in me? If u are in XXXXXXX I will visit u , please help me doctor to come out of this trauma , what could be my problem?? I started getting cough today

Cant be HIV or lymphoma for sure

Hi,

These symptoms can be seen in flu of any severity.

Need not worry, consider this a viral flu and take care you dont go in crowds to avoid super-added bacterial infections.

If you have phlegm, get it tested with Gram's and AFB stain to identify the cause for the cough.

If CBC is fine, there is no need to worry. Repeat if the cough runs for long. If the Total WBC count is more then could be bacterial. If the normal counts or low platelets, then could be viral.
