Brief Answer:
Should be investigated

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I'm Dr. Branch, thanks for using 'Ask a Doctor'. Different labs have different ranges for normal levels, so assuming that 10.3 is elevated, it should be further worked up. First you would want to confirm it was actually elevated by checking albumin and/or ionized calcium. If it is truly elevated, a PTH (parathyroid hormone) level should be checked, as primary hyperparathyroidism is fairly common and would be the most likely diagnosis. There are also genetic conditions that cause decreased excretion of calcium in the urine, and a urine collection to check urine calcium levels may also be checked.

Neither condition is serious, but you should be monitored if you do have hyperparathyroidism, and especially if you develop any complications from the condition, such as decreased bone density or decreasing kidney function, surgery would typically be considered to remove the parathyroid glands.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any other questions about that, and I would be glad to discuss it with you further.

Brief Answer:
Typically a regular clinic would do these tests

Detailed Answer:
Because it isn't considered an urgent condition, typically a regular medical clinic would do these tests. I'm not sure if an urgent care clinic would do them or not, they may just refer you to a primary care physician, since the tests would need to be followed up.
