Brief Answer:
Please consult ENT surgeon and pediatrician

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

Sorry to hear that your little one has been having cold for the last three days and presently having ear pain, more on the left side.

The most appropriate thing that you should do is take her to a pediatrician and ENT (ear, nose and throat) surgeon and have her general condition and ears examined clinically.

It is very difficult to understand the severity of ear pain in children and more often it might be an acute infection of the middle ear (acute otitis media) which needs to be ruled out. If there is any pus discharge from ears, that has also to be brought to the notice of your doctor.

Foreign bodies in ears are also a common cause of ear pain in children but this usually affects only a single side.

Other features like fever and fatigue may also be seen in infection and the same might require treatment with anti inflammatory and antibiotic medications. The lymph nodes in the neck region also need to be assessed for enlargement, this may occur in infection.

Hope your query is answered.
